WHAT IS AGENTS OF CHANGE?
Agents of Change is a grass roots project aimed at providing children with the tools and inspiration to inform positive change in themselves, their community, and the planet in order to develop confidence in their own impact as they grow.
Children are able to autonomously work on projects as well as use the support of their friends, family, and school. Projects can be centred around the child’s personal beliefs and passions; with guidance and learning opportunities provided by school staff. They can also be embedded into the curriculum alongside the class topics.
Pupils are given a poster with 40 ideas, a passport with a more detailed information and inspiration on each idea, and will earn a stamp in their passport for each project completed. When children have completed seven projects, they can choose a badge or certificate (of which there are seven to collect).
This initiative was created and designed by St Lawrence Primary, who will lead training for designated staff across the consortium in order to help embed the resource into their respective schools.
