Bespoke Training
Programme of support to develop and embed approaches to mental health and wellbeing in consortium schools.
Intended outcomes:
1) Support for staff leading the school's approach to mental health: what's next? How can an effective whole school approach be embedded and moved forward?
2) Increased confidence for all staff and governors about what a mentally healthy school is and what their role is within that.
3) Increased levels of knowledge across the school community about what factors contribute to a mentally healthy school and what the offer is in their school.
Structure:
Term 1
1) Face to face 9:30-12:30 Friday 20th October 2023 Venue TBC
Training for lead teachers - what does a mentally healthy school look like? Examples of practice that has been seen to work. Practical examples and how these approaches can be embedded and sustained.
2) Tuesday 7th November 2023 - online twilight 4:00-5:30pm
Group coaching and supervision for leads. Leads vote for a focus topic, input on this is then provided, followed by small group discussion, followed by sharing ideas as a whole group with facilitated reflection to apply ideas to own context.
Term 2
1) Face to face 9:30-12:30 Friday 15th March 2024 Venue TBC
Training for lead teachers on whole school community projects to support mental health and wellbeing. Structure, guidance and supporting resources provided to minimise workload and maximise impact.
2) Tuesday 26th March 2024 - online twilight 4:00 - 5:30pm
Group coaching and supervision for leads. Leads vote for a focus topic, input on this is then provided, followed by small group discussion, followed by sharing ideas as a whole group with facilitated reflection to apply ideas to own context.
Term 3
1) Online training for staff/governors Thursday 13th June Twilight 4:00-5:30pm
Training for all staff and governors of participating schools on how to spot the signs of mental ill health and how to support children in class.
2) Tuesday 2nd July 2024 - online twilight 4:00 - 5:30pm

2 x 3-hour face to face training sessions; 1 x 90 minute online training sessions.
3 x 90 minute online group coaching sessions.
