Senior mental health lead networking within Consortium
Intended Outcomes
1) To support mental health leads in delivering strategies and approaches in school which enhance the well-being of their communities.
2) To upskill children to be mental health champions in their school, ensuring the pupil voice is heard.
3) Increased levels of knowledge about the mental health offer in their schools.
There are two strands to year two of the mental health project.
Strand 1 is aimed at developing the role of the senior mental health lead through networking with others.
Strand 2 is an offer of training for up to 15 children to become accredited Pupil Mental Health Champions. There will need to be a teacher that leads on this.

Launch of Pupil Mental Health Champions for lead teacher at Layer de la Haye Primary School
The online launch of Pupil mental Health Champions from One Goal. A chance to find out what the training will look like, how we deliver this and over what time scales. A chance to discuss with other leads following the launch how we will roll this out in our own schools.

Launch of Pupil MentaL Health Champions for pupils This is online so all children participating and their lead teachers can access from their own building.
Spring Term (January – April)
A commitment for the lead teacher to meet weekly/fortnightly with the chosen pupils to deliver the modular training provided in online video format. There is flexibility to deliver this in sessions which best fit the lead – over a day if preferred. Approximate time 1/2 hour a week if spread across the term.
T.B.C Official Graduation for Pupil Mental Health Champions (at St Lawrence)
A date for this will be set as schools begin to complete the training. The gradulation ceremony will be presented online to all children in one venue- St Lawrence. Certificates/badges will be awarded by lead staff and a few refreshments afterwards. (Maximum time 1 hour and a half)
