Leader of the sessions, Headteacher Rebekah May is a Fellow of the Primary Science Teaching Trust (PSTT) having won one of their Science Teacher of the Year awards in 2016. Since 2018 she has been leading a PSTT Cluster of schools locally, working together on a 5-year improvement plan, funded by the PSTT. This group has now evolved and will continue to work within a different partnership but Rebekah has capacity to continue her PSTT Cluster work with some new schools. She will be leading termly Science Leader meetings, starting in November 11th 2024, which will look at updates, share resources and support networks, but also write a development plan for the next 3 years.

Each session will focus on practical priorities such as curriculum intent and progression, effective assessment approaches, monitoring and evaluation strategies, supporting subject knowledge, and preparing for Ofsted. Leaders will also have the opportunity to discuss current challenges, celebrate successes, and access resources to strengthen subject leadership within their schools.

EYFS

These networking meetings are for all teachers within EYFS aiming to further build and develop the EYFS network that we have across Consortium schools. They will allow EYFS staff to support each other; sharing good practice and sharing resources and skill sets. As these are sessions that are designed to be impactful for all EYFS staff within the Consortium, as a network group we can decide on the foci for each termly session ensuring that they best meet the needs of all of our schools.
