ANDREW MOFFAT
Andrew Moffat has been a teacher for 27 years and is currently PD Lead for Excelsior MAT and AHT at Green Meadow Primary School in Birmingham. He is the author of the No Outsiders resource which is used to teach diversity and equality by schools across the UK. In 2017 Andrew was awarded an MBE for Equality and Diversity In Education and in 2019 he was listed as a top 10 finalist in the Varkey Foundation Global Teacher Prize. In 2019 protests emerged in Birmingham against the inclusion of LGBT+ equality in No Outsiders, and as a result, Andrew was awarded “Role model of the year” by Pink News and “Hero of the year” by The European Diversity Awards.
